Children and Adolescents of the Coastal Bend area, we expect between 250-500 children to visit during Family Fun Day at the CC Museum of Science and History.
New to the Junior League of Corpus Christi is a STEM based program geared towards children, aged preschool to middle school, aimed at increasing a child’s exposure to science and math while enriching their learning through hands-on activities. The Junior League of Corpus Christi is partnering with the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History to co-host STEM based workshops during three themed Family Fun Day events. This program is open to all of the public throughout the Coastal Bend area. Inspired by the Junior League of Phoenix, we proudly introduce R.O.C.K.E.T.S., Raising Our Children’s Knowledge by Educating Through Science.
Project Volunteer Activities:
JLCC Volunteers will be operating STEM based, hands-on workshop stations. We expect to have between 5 and 7 stations happening at one time. The estimated time volunteering for each event is 6 hours. We also plan to promote and market each event through fliers and social media outlets, as well TV and radio promotions as needed.
Appointed E-League Liaison: TBD (Selecting on Aug. 3rd)
